Heatlift collaborates with Dasan DTS to deploy ORC system in Korea

In addition to Heatlift's core business in large, very high-temperature heat pumps for industrial processes, Dasan DTS, a leading designer and manufacturer of air coolers and air condensers, and Heatlift are pleased to announce their partnership to deploy high-performance ORC (organic Rankine cycle) systems in the South Korean market.

As part of this collaboration, Heatlift provides its engineering expertise for the design of high-efficiency MW-scale turbines. Through a technology licensing agreement, Heatlift is supporting Dasan DTS in establishing local manufacturing capabilities.

To achieve this goal, our team works closely with Dasan DTS to establish a robust supply chain. This includes selecting and qualifying the most reliable suppliers for manufacturing the turbine components. We also oversee the acceptance testing of these components upon delivery to ensure they meet stringent quality standards.

Furthermore, we provide technical support during the assembly phase and assist with factory acceptance tests. This involvement guarantees that the locally manufactured turbines maintain the high performance and reliability expected from Heatlift technology.

By combining Heatlift's expertise in turbomachinery with Dasan DTS's leadership in heat exchangers, this strategic partnership will enable this company to become a key player in waste heat recovery and low-carbon electricity generation in Korea, as a provider of ORC systems. Thanks to this collaboration, Dasan DTS plans to install 85 ORC systems in Korea over the next decade to meet the growing demand for decarbonization in Korean industry.

This first success of the turbine licence model is encouraging for Heatlift team who is proud to contribute to this international development and to see its technology expanding across the globe.
